The cotton yarn, sized with a konjac-derived resin, creates a pleasant firmness and crispness on the fiber's surface, making it resistant to sticking to the skin, even in sweaty seasons. It's also breathable, keeping your feet feeling dry and comfortable.
Those who have worn it say, "It's pleasantly crisp, not stuffy, as if the soles of my feet are being gently stimulated," and "It feels good, like stepping on a soft tatami mat." With its dry feel and subtle stimulation, it offers an addictive wearing comfort.
This resin uses domestically produced konjac as its raw material, which is also used in food. Its natural texture makes it easy to incorporate into daily use. *The final product is not for consumption.
"Gima processing" is a traditional technique that gives fibers like cotton a refreshing linen-like feel, and it developed in Shiga Prefecture, known as a production area for high-quality linen fabrics. It has long been used for summer cushions and bedding, and is cherished as a material suited to Japan's climate.
This product takes advantage of that texture, and by loosely knitting it with a low gauge, we have further enhanced its breathability and lightness.
It's a light and comfortable pair for your feet in spring and summer.
