Article: In-store code launched!

In-store code launched!
I was out sick last week!
I apologize.
I'm sorry for the limited open days.
This is all because I'm trying to do everything by myself,
No, that wasn't my intention, but that's how it turned out!
I'm not good at relying on others, and I tend to think that I shouldn't do things I can't do myself, but...
I need to figure out a way to better organize the system, get staff involved, and change the system itself...
As part of that, I'm already working on introducing barcodes.
I'm not currently using JAN codes (actually, I used to, but it didn't make much sense, so I returned them once)
For now, I need to put in-store codes on all products to make ringing up sales easier, otherwise I can't ask others to do that job... after all, with over 200 SKUs, even though they're categorized, it's becoming difficult to find them by scrolling.
Using barcodes will save time for events and consigned items, I'm sure. Fortunately, linking and printing each code was relatively smooth and took about two days. I did get frustrated with CSV a few times, though... (so it wasn't that smooth after all).
But Square!!
I'm using Square as my payment system, and I haven't had any major problems with it so far. Among Square products, I mainly use the Square Terminal.
This is a bit of a challenge, as it doesn't work well with scanners, so I had to do a lot of trial and error.
I bought the scanner recommended by Square.
This connects with a USB cable, but to connect that, you need a special hub, and that hub won't connect unless it's with its dedicated power cord, it's just too much! (laughs)
Would Bluetooth have been better? But the website says it can't connect to the terminal.
I need to research what to do for events again.
I want a neat register area, but it's full of cords.
But I'll give it a try starting with this weekend's open!!
We also have a wide variety of plushie workshops!
