All about opening a shop

The price tags, POP displays, and product information signs I use were originally wooden building blocks my children played with.

I then manually attached labels made with a label maker, one by one – quite an analog approach.
I even design some on the computer with a particular font, which is more for my own satisfaction, haha.

Since wood eventually returns to nature and is easy to work with as a material, I think this method is acceptable.

As the number of products increased, I ran out of blocks, but there are home centers that offer "all-you-can-stuff" scrap wood sections, so I've been utilizing those. At Sekichu, you can fill a bag for about 400 yen. I wonder how many bags I've filled by now?

Since I can make these signs very affordably, I'm also thinking of creating them to distribute to consignment stores and wholesalers in the future.
Conversely, I feel these are also good enough for my youngest child's building blocks. If I just sand them a bit, there's no problem at all (probably).

The downside is that when my kids come to visit the shop, they start playing with the blocks. It's a bit of a hassle to put them back.
But I hope they're watching their mom work hard and earnestly.
